AMBRE MAURITIUS: A CATCH OF THE DAY

AMBRE MAURITIUS: A CATCH OF THE DAY

Like I have said before we love to travel and Mauritius has to be up there as one of my favourite holidays. It is simply stunning. We had the privilege of staying at the exclusive Ambre Hotel. The setting is awe inspiring, the turquoise waters and glorious sunshine will literally catch your breath, the service was first class and the champagne tasted.... well, superb!

The rooms were decorated in bright vibrant colours that complemented the stylish contemporary look of the hotel. A truly sunny experience to totally lift anyone's mood. As we opened the door to our room we were met with red rose petals splayed over our bed in a heart and two beautiful towel swans. The staff are warm and friendly and truly offer you a luxury experience, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel also offers amazing spaces to sun worship or you can lay out on the sumptuous pool side beds which overlook the stunning silhouette of the contemporary infinity pool.

This is a great couples holiday destination that can be completely tailored to suit your needs. The vibe is so laid back and for those beach dwellers offers complete relaxation. For the more adventurous among us there are plenty of trips and water activities such as parasailing to do, so you will never get bored. The hotel has an amazing tour guide that offers boat trips on the beach, his name is Chris and he has the best reviews on the island. His trips included feeding the monkeys and diving in key snorkelling spots around the island. We were also taken to the private island of ile aux Cerfs which was simply stunning.

While we were away it was our anniversary, the hotel staff were so helpful and to make the occasion special Sam had organised a sumptuous, champagne fuelled five course candlelit dinner on the beach. The back drop was a view of the sun setting which was breath-taking, it was literally so romantic and probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We had Laurent Perrier champagne with King prawns, Sushi, freshly caught lobster, steak and a trio of chocolate deserts. The hotel offers a variety of restaurants to suit every taste, including Italian, alacarte and Asian cuisine.

If you are planning a trip to Mauritius. I strongly recommend that you take a look at the Ambre Hotel this couples only retreat offers pure pleasure.
